Dataset Row Query Shows Errors

Symptoms

User sees: An error has occurred retrieving these results. when viewing a dataset record.

Cause

The user is being denied permission to the query. As the “Share query with other users with the query and query base permissions” setting hints, the user must have the relevant query base permission in order to see query results.

Solution

One solution is to grant the user/role permissions to the base, but this may not be desirable.

Another, more fine-grained solution is to grant Display/Run permissions to the user/role via the Sharing Permissions button.
