Group Therapy: Why Your Workflow Bin Needs a Name
So you've created your new workflow. You've done all the planning, created all the tabs, and left the group name blank because, hey, it's optional. Now you're ready to set up your bin assignment rules.
You get to the rule configuration and go to filter for the specific bin you're looking for. Then it hits you: the filter select box is blank.
Why?
You've checked all the things. Your workflow is active. Your bin settings have been configured. You may even have a test record or two. And yet, you can't filter on your bins.
So what caused the bins to go missing in the query builder? Well, remember that group name, the optional one? Turns out it's not so optional when it comes to using the Workflow Records: [Your Workflow Name] query join.
The moment you add a name to the workflow group, the query join filter options magically appear!
The fix: give your workflow bin group a name. That "optional" field isn't quite as optional as Slate would have you believe. Name your groups, save yourself the headache, and get back to building.
